Bumble Bea Occupational Therapy is a value driven mobile paediatric occupational therapy practice dedicated to fostering connection, empowerment and collaboration with clients and their families. We use strengths-based, neuroaffirming approaches to support children’s development and goals.

 

Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced paediatric occupational therapist to join Bumble Bea Occupational Therapy. The successful candidate will work with children and families to support and empower their skill development and independence in a range of areas including motor skills, emotional regulation, self-advocacy, sensory processing, social skills, self-care skills and executive functioning.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and create individualised therapy.

  • Deliver therapy services within the community in the client’s natural environment such as kindergartens, childcares, schools and home settings.

  • Collaborate with families, educators and other health care providers.

  • Maintain up-to-date record of client progress.​​

  • Participate in ongoing professional development.


​Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational therapy.

  • AHPRA Registration.

  • Experience working with children with developmental delays or disabilities.

  • Own Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance.

  • Current National Police Check Clearance and Working With Children Check.

  • Completion of NDIS Workers Orientation Module and NDIS screener check.

  • Reliable car and valid driver’s license and car insurance.

Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate allied health assistant to join Bumble Bea Occupational Therapy. The successful candidate will work closely with the Occupational Therapist to support and empower children and families to build on their skill development and independence in a range of areas including motor skills, emotional regulation, self-advocacy, sensory processing, social skills, self-care skills and executive functioning.

​

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing therapy programs, created by the delegated Occupational Therapist within the community in the client’s natural environment such as kindergartens, childcares, schools and home settings.

  • Resource development such as creating or organising therapy resources such as visual aids, activity kits or home programs.

  • Provide feedback to the delegated Occupational Therapist regarding client participation and outcomes during sessions and consult on the need for progression or additional input required for the client.

  • Support families to understand and practice therapy strategies at home, as directed by the therapist.

  • Assist in scheduling appointments and maintaining accurate records of therapy sessions.

  • Participate in ongoing professional development (20 hours per year).



​Qualifications and Requirements

  • Certificate III and IV in Allied Health Assistance OR Occupational Therapy students OR teacher’s aides/early childhood educators.

  • Experience working with children with developmental delays or disabilities.

  • Own Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance.
