What Is and How We Use OT
Occupational Therapy empowers children to participate in the everyday activities that are meaningful to them. For children, their primary occupations include play, learning, and self-care. We support children to do the things they need and want to do; especially the tasks they find challenging.

Fine Motor
Skills
Refers to the ability to use small muscles within our hands and fingers to perform important tasks such as handwriting, cutting with scissors, utilising cutlery and manipulating buttons and zips on clothes.​​​​
Gross Motor Skills
Involve the use of large muscles from to perform movements such as walking, jumping and climbing and essential for balance and coordination skills.

Emotional Regulation
Ability to identify, recognise and regulate emotions in a safe way.

Involves the ability to communicate one’s needs, rights and preferences.
